A place where life as art is captured on a phone camera
Chimenea Tree
This tree looks like a chimenea, outdoor fireplaces created thousands of years ago by Mexican tribesmen to keep the rain off the fire, provide heat and serve as a stove for the family.
Have you ever thought of how cell phone cameras (they call them mobile phones in Europe) have changed our lifestyles, our culture? Tiny devices we carry with us always that can instantly capture a moment in time forever.
There is something unique about those moments we snap - they are raw human nature as we see it because it is not staged, posed or anticipated. Photos are captured that would not have been, and you experiment a bit more because taking pictures is now so convenient. This new phenomenon is called Phontography and it is something we should share and recognize as a new art form.
And so this site is devoted to this new trend and new look into human nature and nature through Phontography. A new photo will appear as I capture a unique moment whether I'm driving to work, walking the dog or visiting a mall. Be sure to come back often.
All photos displayed were taken with a 2 mega pixel phone camera unless otherwise stated.
